Judgement has today ruled in in favour of GLA, regarding the eviction process of the Parliament Square camp protestors. Please be vigilant in relation to potential spontaneous protests and/or climbing of buildings.

GSZ1106.02 Police and explosives officers are currently dealing with a possible WW2 unexploded bomb on Westminster Bridge Road. Traffic diversions are being put in place. Please try and avoid the area.

Due to a routine fire evacuation exercise at New Scotland Yard taking place from 1430hrs today there will be temporary road closures immediately around New Scotland Yard and some minor congestion expected to vehicular traffic for approximately an hour.

31.05.10 : City of Westminster and City of London areas - St James Park - The Mall - Whitehall - Victoria Embankment - White Lion Street - Queen Victoria Street - Cornhill - Fenchurch Street - Cannon Street- Embankment - Birdcage Walk. between 1000 - 1300hrs for duration of BUPA 10Km run.

Expect extensive delays in the vicinity of both these events while road closures are in place.

Police are dealing with a Male that has managed to climb up onto a window sill at the HM Treasury Building Great George Street, SW1, He has gained access by using a nearby Scaffolding Ladder, Please remain Vigilant in case further protests occur any sightings or Incidents please Dial 999.

earlier on this afternoon a Parcel containing a doll and organic matter was handed into a Government building Post room. The person handing in the item was described as a Male, approx 60-70 years of age, with White hair and wearing a green coat. The item was declared suspicious and Police were called. Subsequently cleared as Non- suspicious but it was believed that the person handing the item in was suffering from harmless delusions. This is for information only, should this man make further attempts to hand a parcel into other Government buildings...There will be NO update to this message.

VE Ceremonial event and parade: 08.05.10.Whitehall, Horseguards Rd, SW1. Road closures 0600-1400Hrs. Expect heavy congestion in the area.

On Sat 1st May there will be large road closures within the GSZ this is due to the May Day rally.

The Labour Day march will see supporters gathering at Clerkenwell Green from noon to make their way over Waterloo Bridge along the Strand and into Trafalgar Square. It usually attracts several thousand people and passes peacefully. It could attract higher numbers this year though due to the event falling on a Saturday and the General Election.

Election Meltdown will stage a rally from 14.30hrs onwards in Parliament Square, which they will converge upon from four different locations using the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse puppet theme.

One group will start at Clerkenwell Green and will join the end of the Labour Day march and the others will start at the headquarters of the three main political parties. They will drag effigies of the three main political party leaders. Some plan to camp on the square until Thursday/Friday when the election results come in.

The main roads that will be closed will be:
Waterloo Bridge
Aldwych
The Strand
Trafalgar Square
Parliament Square
These will all be closed from 1130hrs

The Following Roads will have part closures and Contra Flow diversions on them:
Victoria Street
Charring Cross Road
Haymarket
The Mall
Cockspur Street
Whitehall
These will all be affected from 1130hrs

Other roads may be affected if Demonstrations/Rally’s decide to deviate and Comm Safes will be sent when roads are affected.
